Renowned musician Thundercat has unveiled plans for an extensive North American tour, dubbed the 'Distracted AF' tour, scheduled to run from October through December. Fans can anticipate a series of captivating performances across various cities in the United States and Canada, with an exciting roster of guest artists joining him on select dates.
The upcoming tour supports Thundercat's recently released album, 'Distracted,' which debuted in April under the Brainfeeder Records label. This album showcases a stellar lineup of collaborators, including Tame Impala, Lil Yachty, A$AP Rocky, Channel Tres, and Willow. Notably, it also features a posthumous contribution from his long-time creative partner, Mac Miller, adding a poignant element to the record. Before the tour officially commences, Thundercat is slated to appear at several summer music festivals, including a highly anticipated performance at the Newport Jazz Festival later this month.
The 'Distracted AF' tour kicks off on October 2nd in Miami, Florida, at the Miami Beach Bandshell, with Kitty Ca$h providing support. The initial leg of the tour will see him perform in Florida cities such as Orlando, Jacksonville, and Tampa before heading to the Carolinas. Throughout October, Thundercat will visit Charleston, Asheville, Raleigh, Charlotte, Richmond, Portland, Montreal, Ottawa, Brooklyn, Pittsburgh, Des Moines, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Louisville, and Nashville. The diverse group of opening acts ensures a unique experience at each stop, with TiaCorine, Channel Tres, 54 Ultra, and Fera each taking turns on different segments of the tour.
As the tour progresses into November, Thundercat will continue his journey through Birmingham, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Fayetteville, Oklahoma City, Omaha, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle. The final stretch in December includes a notable performance in Los Angeles at The Hollywood Palladium and concludes with the Holiday Hootenanny in Austin, Texas. This extensive schedule promises fans across North America ample opportunities to experience Thundercat's distinctive musical style and the dynamic performances of his supporting artists.
The 'Distracted AF' tour offers a comprehensive live music experience for fans, building on the success of his latest album. With a blend of new material and fan favorites, alongside a rotating cast of talented openers, Thundercat's upcoming performances are poised to be a highlight of the fall and winter concert season. The tour not only celebrates his recent musical achievements but also brings together a vibrant community of artists for an unforgettable series of events.
